नेपाळची अखेर माघार, भारताचा भुभाग दाखविला होता आपल्या नकाशात

नवी दिल्ली, ता. २७ : भारताचा काही भुभाग आपल्या नकाशात दाखविल्यानंतर भारताच्या प्रतिक्रियेनंतर नेपाळने अखेर माघार घेतली. या प्रकाराने भारताच्या मुत्सुद्देगिरीचा हा विजय असल्याचे मानले जात आहे.

एकीकडे लद्दाखच्या सिमेवर भारत आणि चीनचे संबंध ताणले गेल्यानंतर नेपाळ सरकारने भारतीय हद्दीतील कालापाणी, लिपुलेख आणि लिम्पियाधुरा हा भुभाग नेपाळच्या नव्या नकाशात दाखविला होता. त्यानंतर दोन्ही देशामध्ये राजकीय व परराष्ट्रसंबंधामध्ये कटुता निर्माण झाली होती. भारताच्या वतीने विदेश मंत्रालयाचे प्रवक्ता अनुराग श्रीवास्तव म्हणाले की, आम्ही विनंती करतो की, नेपाळ सरकारने अशाप्रकारचे बनावट कार्टोग्राफीक प्रकाशित करु नये व भारताच्या क्षेत्रीय अखंडतेचा व सार्वभौमत्वाचा आदर करावा. दरम्यान, घटना दुरुस्तीद्वारे प्रकाशित केलेला नकाशा देशाच्या संविधानात जोडण्याचा प्रस्ताव नेपाळच्या संसदेत मांडण्यात येणार होता. मात्र भारताचा रोष न ओढावता भारतासोबत द्विपक्षीय चर्चेतून हा मुद्दा सोडवावा असे सर्वच पक्षांच्या नेत्यांनी सुचविल्यानंतर सत्ताधारी व विरोधी पक्षांच्या सहमतीने घटना दुरुस्ती विधेयक संसदेच्या कामकाजातून हटविण्याचा निर्णय घेण्यात आला. यामुळे हा वाद टाळून भारताबरोबरच नेपाळनेही मुत्सद्देगिरी दाखवून दिली.

Withdrawal by Nepal, India's territory was shown on the country's map

New Delhi: Nepal finally retreated after India's response after showing parts of India on the map. As such, it is considered a victory of Indian diplomacy.

After the strained relations between India and China on the border of Ladakh, the Nepal government has shown parts of Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura in a new map of Nepal. Since then, political and foreign relations between the two countries have been tense. On behalf of India, Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava said, "We urge the Government of Nepal not to publish such false cartoons and respect India's territorial integrity and sovereignty." Meanwhile, a proposal to add the published map to the country's constitution through an amendment was to be tabled in the Parliament of Nepal. Although the leaders of all countries suggested that the decision be taken through bilateral talks without India's anger, the decision to repeal the amendment bill was taken with the consent of both the ruling and opposition parties. As a result, India as well as Nepal averted the dispute and showed diplomacy.
